You Belong Here
Below are a few steps to help you plan your first visit to St. James UMC.
Step 1.
Choose a Service
We have a traditional worship service each Sunday that starts at 10:00 am. We also have Sunday groups that meet at 9:00 am for adults, children, and youth. We invite you to attend either or both, so choose a time that works best for you.

Other Things To Know:
Dress Code
We don’t have a dress code! We really don’t care what you wear. You will see some people in jeans and some in shorts, and might even see someone in a suit and tie. Most will be comfortable Whatever works for you works for us!
Upon Arrival
We make every effort to welcome each guest personally. Upon entering St. James, you will find greeters in the main lobby. They can be easily identified. They are all available to answer any questions you may have or lead you in the right direction. Please do not hesitate to ask them questions; they are there to help you.
Our Worship Service
Our Blended Worship service is a wonderful experience that appeals to all generations with excellent music, liturgy, occasional testimonies, and relevant messages. Our services typically last about an hour.
Nursery & Kids
There are classes for children and youth Sunday mornings at 9:00 am. Nursery for children ages 4 and under is available every Sunday and Wednesday and for special events. Children ages 4 through 5th grade are invited to participate in the children’s church moment during the Sunday worship service.
Noisy Offering
Our “Noisy Offering” is a special type of church offering where everyone is encouraged to bring loose change – coins that make lots of noise! After the children’s moment, kids go around collecting the offering, and the clinking and jingling of the coins make it a fun, interactive experience.
