We are a growing integral part of St. James. As a group, sixth through young adults, we share, we work, and we socialize as close as a family.

This statement was prepared by the youth of St James in a recent meeting. The group meets on Sundays at 5:00pm and on Wednesdays at 6:30 (the time may vary as appropriate for the activity planned). Amanda Rains is our Youth Director, and brings with her much enthusiasm and excitement. Our youth program has grown and continues to do so under Amanda's leadership. The Youth Council, which includes parents, youth, and church staff members, feels that the evening meetings and other activities should be "a supervised application of what the youth learn at Sunday School and church."
Under this philosophy, recent activities of the group have included sponsoring a Halloween Carnival for younger children of the church and neighborhood, working at the church's booth at the West Texas Fair & Rodeo, participating in a community drive to benefit the homeless (Mission Thanksgiving), attending Christian concerts, supporting each other by attendance at extracurricular activities, and Youth camps held at Camp Butman and Ceta Canyon.
