If you call St James UMC, chances are the                             the first voice you hear will be that of our                         church secretary, Elaine DeWitt. She will                                    be glad to chat with you about St James or                               to refer you to somebody knowledgeable about                       your area of interest.

St James UMC is a member of the Northwest                Texas     Conference of the United Methodist Church. Our                        local governance is by the Administrative Council which is chaired by a lay member. Major committees are elected to recommend action by the congregation when necessary: the Trustees committee looks after the physical plant of the church; the Staff/Parish committee handles personnel matters; the Finance committee is in charge of budgeting and fund-raising goals. Major matters are authorized by a conference of all members which meets annually or when the need arises.
